At Salt & Bubbles Wine Bar and Market we focus on affordable wines (and some ciders and beer) made ethically by people who take care of the land and the people they work with. These producers (who really are farmers!) make wines full of life, they tell a story of a season or a place, and well, they taste great too!

MontiVerdi_GRAY.png

Monti Verdi is, of course, "Green Mountains" in Italian and that is the best place to start to understand what goes into our hand-crafted salami. We are both Italians who have brought with us our traditional methods for making authentic Italian salumi (cured meats). We are also both Vermonters who have made a home — and a farm — here in the Green Mountains that is ethical, sustainable, and true. The marriage of these influences can be tasted in each product we make.

PizzeriaVerita_GRAY.png

We are a full service Neapolitan pizzeria with a focus on exceptional Italian cuisine, inspired craft cocktails, and a well-informed, engaging staff. We make our pizzas in the traditional Neapolitan technique, which involves pushing out a light, thin crust, taking care to push air into the cornicione, or edge, then topping each dough with just the right amount of fresh ingredients and finally baking the pizza in a very hot wood-fired oven. The majority of our toppings come from local sources here in Vermont, which stems from a commitment to supporting our local farmers and food producers and our dedication to the Neapolitan tradition.

dedalus_novena_GRAY.png

Our mission at Dedalus is to create a new kind of wine culture. One that closes the gap between wine growers and wine drinkers. A culture that celebrates the simple, sustaining pleasures of the table and does away with the old gatekeepers. A culture that places value on farmers and the beautiful things they create. A culture that values the people behind the products and shares the stories of the regions they come from.

We're here to tell wine's story, inspire great drinking, bring people happiness, and bring communities together around the table.

Old Labor Hall_GRAY.png

The Socialist Labor Party Hall, also known as the "Old Labor Hall", was built in 1900 by Italian immigrants. They had immigrated to Barre, Vermont, to work in the granite sheds on the famous Barre Gray granite that gave Barre the name of the "Granite Capital of the World." In an era when the social and cultural centers of many immigrant communities rested in labor unions and fraternal societies with radical politics, the Hall became a major community center for the large Italian community of Barre, serving as a venue for agitation, education, entertainment, and even shopping.
